Cross-Border E-Commerce Platform

Project Overview

The client is a foreign trade enterprise specializing in electromechanical product exports, with annual export volume of approximately ¥200 million. Previously, they primarily relied on trade shows, email, and B2B platforms for customer acquisition, lacking an independently controllable online sales channel, resulting in persistently high customer acquisition costs.

The core project objective was to build an independent B2B e-commerce platform supporting multiple languages and currencies, reducing over-reliance on third-party platforms and building proprietary brand influence.

In terms of architecture design, we adopted a microservices architecture with front-end and back-end separation. The front-end uses Next.js for server-side rendering, ensuring excellent SEO performance; the back-end adopts a modular design supporting product management, order processing, payment integration, and logistics tracking.

Internationalization was the most challenging aspect. We designed a flexible language pack management system, allowing operations staff to edit and update product information and page content in real-time across different language versions through the admin panel. The exchange rate module connects to real-time rate APIs, automatically updating prices in all currencies.
